ASTM A334/A334M is a standard specification published by the American Society for Materials and Testing for seamless and welded seamless carbon steel pipes at low temperatures. It specifies the chemical composition, mechanical properties, impact toughness and other requirements of the pipe, and includes a number of different grades of low-temperature carbon steel pipes.

.Hydrostatic or Non-destructive Electric Test
1. The type of test to be used shall be at the option of the manufacturer, unless otherwise specified in the purchase order.
2. Each tube shall be subjected to the non-destructive electric test or the hydrostatic test in accordance with Specification A 1016/A 1016M.
